Hi, i’m nicoline valkenberg

I believe spiritual wellness, as my mentor Tom Alden puts it, is “drawing from the innermost well of our being into the outer action of our lives.” I am passionate about helping others tap into that well and bring its essence into tangible form. I believe life is always trying to speak to us. We can learn to listen—to recognize its guidance, help it take shape, organize to optimize, and ultimately create the art of our lives. To me, this is what it means to live intentionally—from the inside out. And as we awaken to our own path, we help evolve the whole. Our personal growth is not just for us alone—it’s a vital piece of something greater. It helps!

I’ve been a yoga teacher in the Boston area since 2005 and founded Samara Yoga Studio in 2010, where I spent 10 wonderful years cultivating a dedicated yoga community with some of my best friends and colleagues in Somerville, MA. After the pandemic, I relocated to Rhode Island, where I’ve loved connecting with new yoga communities and clients. I became a Life Coach in 2018, through the Whole Being Institute, which centers it’s coaching methodology in Positive Psychology. Along with degrees in both Psychology and Philosophy and a background in visual art, my teaching and in my one-on-one work have been richly influenced by Shiva Rea, Barbara Benagh, Fez Aswat and Tom Alden. I bring compassion and curiosity to what your life path may be!
